central location room air conditioning comfy rooms tired decor hall light misleading photos
the location is awesome close to the beach and town. i found the room air conditioning super! the rooms were great, even comfy!
The decor seemed kinda tired. Rooms need some serious uplift. the hall light shone under the door all night. I couldn't block it out. the photos showed the connaught hotel not the lodge. I thought that was misleading.

torn wallpaper faulty plug
the room i occupied required some attention. torn wallpaper was visible. the sink plug was faulty, i. e. not working. these issues detracted from the overall impression of the hotel.

i appreciated the friendly staff. nothing seemed like too much trouble. the standard room was clean and tidy. it included everything i needed.
the lodge needs some modernizing. i noticed no radiator in the bathroom to dry towels. upon arrival, we found our room had not been cleaned or serviced.

The room was a good size. The breakfast set up the day well.
I encountered a wedding party under my room. Loud music played past midnight. I was charged for parking after receiving a permit. There was street parking I was unaware of.

helpful staff convenient location delicious breakfast
i found the staff very helpful and friendly . the location of the hotel is convenient with a car park available . breakfast offered a good choice of options and i really enjoyed the fresh food. the swimming pool was a nice addition too for a relaxing swim.
the room decor felt a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel.
